On March 12-13 of this year, an international round table on the development of competition in the pharmaceutical market was held at the Training and Methodological Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS) in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.

It was attended by industry experts from Russia, China, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The event discussed the best practices of foreign countries in preventing artificially high prices for medicines, compulsory licensing and patent legislation, as well as combating cartel agreements in the field of public procurement.

The event was attended by representatives of the Competition Promotion and Сonsumer protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who provided information on the work carried out in our country to create a competitive environment in the pharmaceutical market and regulate public procurement of medicines.

At the end of the event, all participants were awarded certificates, and an agreement was reached on further strengthening mutual cooperation in the future.
