The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of Uzbekistan operates as a strategic think tank dedicated to analyzing the competitive environment and scientifically supporting public policy in Uzbekistan.

Over the first nine months of this year:

⏺ Nearly 300 product markets were analyzed.
⏺ In the chemical industry, 541 types of products were studied, and import dependency was identified for 281 of them.
⏺ The market saturation level of more than 300 markets with domestically produced products was assessed, and promising directions were recommended for investors.

Scientific analyses are carried out using the ARIMA model, enabling short-term price forecasts for socially significant goods such as rice, milk, potatoes, carrots, and poultry and beef meat. This helps anticipate inflationary risks in advance.

Entrepreneurs are now able to submit special requests to obtain analysis results on a specific sector or product of their interest. To date, more than 100 such requests have been received and analytical work is currently underway.

Human capital is growing:

Since the beginning of the year, more than 100 employees within the Committee’s system have participated in capacity-building and international training programs. Training has been organized in cooperation with BRICS, UNCTAD, UNDP, JICA, and the World Bank, while joint research is being carried out with local universities and think tanks under international cooperation initiatives.

By enhancing scientific analysis, digital economic forecasting, and talent development, the Center continues contributing to the creation of a fair and competitive market environment in the country.
