Olimjon Jumaev, Director of the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center, congratulated Alexey Yuryevich Ivanov, Director of the BRICS Competition Law and Policy Centre, on his birthday.
The Center for Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research under the Committee for the Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights organized the next training course on competition legislation for employees of the "Tashkent Metro" State Unitary Enterprise. The course sessions were conducted by leading experts of the Committee and the Center, as well as professors from Tashkent State University of Law. These training courses, organized by the Center, aim to enhance the legal knowledge of industry specialists and promote a systematic approach to implementing competition policy in practice. Upon completion of the course, participants will be awarded special certificates.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to establish bilateral cooperation in the field of publishing the Center's scientific and practical journal, organizing conferences at the regional and international levels, as well as publishing articles in international databases. Following the meeting, the director of the Center, O. Jumaev, and the director of "Science and Innovation" company, B. Rustamov, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Center for Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research under the Competition and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Digital Government Project Management Center. The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in the context of digital transformation in the areas of developing a competitive environment, protecting consumer rights, and introducing modern technologies into public administration. Key areas of cooperation under the memorandum:✅ Analyzing the competitive environment and introducing digital platforms✅ Monitoring public procurement using Big Data and AI✅ Automating the process of handling consumer complaints✅ Raising public awareness through information and educational campaigns✅ Conducting joint research, methodological recommendations, seminars, and forums✅ Improving qualifications in the fields of competition and the digital economy The memorandum also outlines the implementation of joint projects for analyzing digital markets, ensuring transparency, and introducing digital solutions. At the end of the meeting, Director of the Research Center Olimjon Jumayev and Director of the Digital Government Center Anvar Mansurov signed the memorandum of cooperation.
