From October 13 to 27, within the framework of the “Belt and Road Initiative,” an international seminar dedicated to competition legislation and its enforcement practices was held in Beijing and Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China.
The event was attended by representatives of the Competition Committee and the Center for Research on Competition Policy and Consumer Rights under the Committee, as well as experts from Serbia, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Armenia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Myanmar, Montenegro, Indonesia and the Philippines. This created an opportunity to further expand international cooperation.
During the seminar, participants were presented with China’s advanced experience in analyzing the competitive environment in goods and digital markets, along with effective tools for enforcing competition legislation.
In addition, during the event, Muzaffarjon Tuymatov, Chief Researcher of the Center for Research on Competition Policy and Consumer Rights, studied the business models, competition strategies and innovative solutions of major Chinese technology corporations such as Tencent and Han’s Laser Technology Industry Group.
