Within the framework of cooperation between the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee and Westminster International University, a practical seminar entitled “Research Methods and Econometric Analysis” was organized for the Committee’s staff.
A three-day training course on antimonopoly compliance was organized by the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee for employees of business entities.
“The Role and Contribution of Economic Sciences in the Development of the National Economy” — A Scientific Dialogue as a New Stage of Strategic Cooperation
Olimjon Jumayev, Director of the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee, completed a working trip to the city of Toulouse, France.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the activities of their institutions, achieved scientific results, and priority projects for the coming year. To strengthen cooperation, the parties outlined plans for joint research projects based on economic analysis in the fields of economics and competition, as well as mechanisms for disseminating scientific knowledge to the wider public and enhancing mutual support. In addition, an agreement was reached to conduct econometric studies together with experts from the Toulouse School of Economics to identify factors affecting the prices of socially important food products and to forecast future price trends. As part of the econometric analysis, it is planned to assess internal and external shocks by taking into account the real needs of the population, the impact of imports on retail prices, exchange rate fluctuations, changes in global supply chains, as well as projections of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. The Toulouse School of Economics is recognized as one of the world’s leading research and educational centers in the fields of economics and public policy.
