In his presentation, he highlighted the rapid growth of the digital economy, the 40 percent annual growth rate of the e-commerce market, and the emerging priorities of competition policy.

It was emphasized that international regulatory practices related to digital platforms (Digital Markets Act, FTC, CMA, JFTC, and others) serve as an important reference for Uzbekistan.

For the first time, the new Law “On Competition” and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 256 have legally defined the dominant position of digital platforms and price algorithms.

Additionally, the Digital Task Force established under the Committee is analyzing trends in digital markets and potential cases of abuse.

In conclusion, the importance of sustainable digital economic development, ensuring a healthy competitive environment, and strengthening cooperation between the state and businesses was underlined.
