Scientific analysis in the field of competition policy and consumer protection is accelerating in Uzbekistan
More than 100 market analyses conducted, over 20 international partnerships established – the newly established Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center of Uzbekistan is contributing to the development of a sound competition policy in the country.
Established under the Presidential Decree No. 108 and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated July 21, 2023, the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of Uzbekistan continues to actively expand its activities.
Today, the Center conducts comprehensive research in the field of competition policy and consumer protection in our country using advanced international practices and modern econometric models. These approaches ensure that the analyses are scientifically grounded and effective.
The Center’s work is not limited to the collection of digital data. It aims to support the adoption of strategic decisions focused on enhancing economic potential, reducing import dependency, and strengthening local manufacturers.
The results of the analyses show that certain product markets in the country are not sufficiently saturated with domestically produced goods. These findings are regularly published, increasing consumer awareness while creating new market opportunities for producers.
To date, the Center has assessed the market saturation level for more than 100 product categories. This information serves as a reliable reference for manufacturers, investors, and entrepreneurs.
In addition, the Center has established cooperation and signed Memorandums of Understanding with more than 20 local and international organizations. These partnerships play a key role in ensuring that the research meets international standards and maintains high quality.
