Change in food prices in September
In September 2024, according to the Statistics Agency report , inflation in Uzbekistan was 1.23%.
Compared to the same period last year, this figure decreased by 0.01%.
Moreover, in annual terms it amounted to 10.46% (a decrease of 0.01% compared to 2023).
Thus, over the month, food prices increased by 1.4%. In turn, non-food products increased in price by 0.8%, and the cost of paid services increased by 1.5%.
The food products that increased in price the most were cucumbers (+19.6%), carrots (+15.6%), eggplants (+13.4%), cabbage (+12.5%), tomatoes (+11.3%), onions (+10.4%), beef (+3.1%), eggs (+3.0%), lamb (+2.8%) and other products.
