The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee organized special training courses for employees of non-governmental non-profit organizations to ensure the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 6, 2025, No. RP-296 “On measures to organize effective protection of consumer rights,” on handling consumer complaints, conducting “Mystery Shopper” and control purchase events, and working in the electronic system “Consumer Complaint.” During the three-day course, participants covered: - procedures for receiving and reviewing consumer complaints; - methodology for conducting “Mystery Shopper” events and control purchases; - practical exercises in working with the electronic system “Consumer Complaint”; - practice of protecting consumer rights in trade and service sectors; - they acquired theoretical and practical knowledge on information confidentiality and the rules for working with personal data. The training was conducted by specialists with high qualifications and practical experience. On December 23–24 of this year, in Tashkent, the Competition Committee, in cooperation with German Sparkassenstiftung and partner organizations from Germany, organized an international seminar on “Managing Artificial Intelligence: Regulation and Ensuring Competition under European Union Legislation and Global Strategies.” Staff of the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee actively participated in the seminar, gaining close familiarity with advanced international approaches to AI regulation, competition policy, and innovation support.
