As part of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Research Center for Competition Policy and Consumer Rights organized a professional development course for employees of the Ministry of Digital Technologies on competition policy and public procurement legislation.

During the training program, participants received theoretical knowledge and practical skills on the following topics:

⏺️ Objectives and principles of the Law “On Competition” of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
⏺️ Criteria for identifying dominant position, monopoly, and natural monopolies;
⏺️ Fundamentals of antimonopoly compliance;
⏺️ Types of unfair competition and applicable financial liability measures;
⏺️ Cartel agreements and anti-competitive agreements (horizontal and vertical);
⏺️ Antimonopoly requirements in cases of economic concentration and activities of state-owned enterprises;
⏺️ Key provisions of the public procurement system and typical legal violations in practice;
⏺️ Determining dominant positions of digital platforms and relevant antitrust regulations;
⏺️ Ensuring competition in exchange trading and identifying manipulation practices;
⏺️ Methods for assessing the impact of regulatory legal acts on the competitive environment.

The course sessions are delivered by leading experts from the Committee and the Center, as well as professors from Tashkent State University of Law.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be awarded official certificates.

Such training programs organized by the Center play an important role in promoting a culture of competition, addressing practical challenges, and expanding professional knowledge in the field.
