The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Centre under the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Westminster International University in Tashkent have signed a memorandum of Understanding.
Furthermore, within the framework of the MoU, it is planned to organize training courses for the staff of the Committee and its regional departments on the use of econometric models for analyzing and forecasting prices of essential food products, as well as on analytical methodologies based on international best practices, and to implement joint research projects.
Key areas under the MoU:
- Joint research in the fields of competition policy and digital economy
- Organization of internships and practical training for WIUT students
- Improvement of academic programs and methodologies related to the competitive environment
- Conducting master classes and seminars on unfair competition and antimonopoly issues
- Innovative approaches to human resource management, integrating education and practice
- Establishment of a think tank and joint participation in international projects
At the end of the meeting, Director of the Center Olimjon Jumayev and WIUT Rector Komiljon Karimov signed the Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement will serve to further strengthen strategic cooperation in the fields of competition policy and education.
