The Competition Committee has succeeded in renaming an information resource found to be in violation of the advertising law
The monitoring conducted by the Competition Committee revealed that advertisements for fruit sapling sales services under the name “Halolmevali ko'chatlar” were posted on social media.
Initial investigations revealed that the information resource providing information on the sale of fruit saplings unjustifiably used the name “Halolmevali ko'chatlar” in the name of its information resource in order to mislead citizens who intended to purchase tree saplings.
For information: The Religious Affairs Committee also came to the general conclusion that the “Halal” certificate or the name “Halal” is commonly used in the processes of preparing, producing, packaging, storing and transporting food products, and the word “Halal” is misleading the public by adding it to various advertisements and announcements in order to increase the number of customers.
Based on the above, the persons managing the information resource "Halolmevali ko'chatlar" were given appropriate legal explanations regarding the requirements of the legislative acts on advertising, and the owner of the information resource was brought to administrative responsibility for improper advertising.
As a result, the name of the platform "Halolmevali ko'chatlar" was voluntarily changed to another name.
The Committee continues to study and analyze the compliance of advertising posted through information resources (groups and channels organized in social networks and the Telegram messenger) with the requirements of the current legislation on advertising.
