The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee is presenting significant scientific results in the field of economic analysis and forecasting.
In particular, the scientific article entitled “Advanced Approaches to Assessing Economic Activity and the Conceptual Framework for Introducing the Business Activity Index in Uzbekistan,” co-authored by the Director of the Center, Jumayev Olimjon Sadulloevich, Doctor of Economics, and the Center’s Chief Researcher Muzaffar To'ymatov, was published in the journal “Marketing.”
The methodology of the Business Activity Index (BAI) was developed based on international PMI (Purchasing Managers’ Index) practices. The methodology is aimed at providing an operational assessment of the current state of the economy and enables the identification of short-term trends based on qualitative indicators of enterprise activity.
This index serves to enhance macroeconomic analysis in Uzbekistan, assess the business environment, and strengthen the integration of science and practice.
