An international conference was held on the topic: “Preventing Unlawful Interference of State Authorities in Entrepreneurial Activity.”

On January 29, 2026, in the city of Tashkent, an international conference titled “Preventing Unlawful Interference of State Authorities in Entrepreneurial Activity” was jointly held by the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee, the Commissioner under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Protection of the Rights and Legitimate Interests of Business Entities, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The conference brought together experts from prestigious international organizations, including the Asian Development Bank, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), as well as representatives of government bodies, business entities, civil society institutions, and research and academic circles.

The conference featured the following panel sessions:
- “Limiting State Authorities’ Interference in Entrepreneurial Activity: Institutional Mechanisms”
- “Eliminating Excessive Bureaucratic Barriers for Business and Simplifying Licensing Procedures” 
- “Ensuring Transparency and Digital Solutions in Inspection and Oversight Processes”

The international forum serves as an important platform for further improving the business environment in Uzbekistan, ensuring legality and transparency in the activities of state authorities, and advancing competition policy.
