The results of the Business Activity Index for the fourth quarter of 2025 and expectations for the first quarter of 2026 have been assessed.
The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee assessed the results of the Business Activity Index for the fourth quarter of 2025, as well as expectations for the first quarter of 2026, reflecting the business environment and sentiments of business entities.
More than 350 large enterprises operating in manufacturing and service sectors across the country participated in the BAI survey via the Committee’s unified Fair Tech information system.
According to the survey results, the cumulative BAI indicator in the 4th quarter of 2025 increased by 0.9 points compared to the 3rd quarter and amounted to 57.3 points. Also, the forecast BAI indicators for the 1st quarter of 2026 are expected to be 54.9 points.
According to the internationally recognized PMI benchmark, a value above 50 points indicates stable economic growth and increasing business activity.
Regional analysis shows the highest results in Tashkent city (61) and Namangan region (60), while relatively lower indicators were recorded in Kashkadarya (50.8), Samarkand (51), and Navoi (53) regions.
Overall, the results demonstrate that the business environment in the country remains stable, and large business entities maintain positive expectations regarding future economic activity.
