Dry Milk Market Analysis Conducted
The Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee has conducted a study of the competitive environment in the dry milk market, as well as the level of domestic market saturation with locally produced goods.
According to the analysis:
Imports: In 2024, 28 companies imported dry milk from 6 countries worth USD 14.3 million (7.1 thousand tons).
The main share of imports accounted for:
- Belarus — 71%
- Kyrgyzstan — 18%
- Iran — 6%
- Other countries — 5%
The top 5 importing companies accounted for 71% of total imports.
In 2024, 3 companies exported dry milk to 3 countries worth USD 11 thousand (5 tons).
Domestic production: In 2024, 23 enterprises produced dry milk worth 127 billion UZS (4.5 thousand tons).
Market saturation level: According to calculations, the level of domestic market saturation with locally produced goods amounted to 39%.
It should be noted that under current regulations, a market is considered saturated when this indicator exceeds 80%.
Conclusion: Domestic production of dry milk has been formed to a certain extent. At the same time, demand for this product remains high, indicating significant opportunities for expanding production capacity and implementing new investment projects.
