Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan conducted a study of the competitive environment in the welding fittings market and assessed the level of domestic market saturation with locally manufactured products.

According to the analysis results:
Import situation: In 2024, 163 companies imported welding fittings from 12 countries with a total value of USD 14 million (5.3 thousand tons).
Main share of imports: the top 5 importing companies accounted for 59% of total imports.
China — 52%
Russia — 22%
Iran — 15%
Other countries — 11%

Domestic production: In 2024, 16 companies produced welding fittings worth a total of UZS 62 billion (717 tons).

Market saturation level: The level of domestic market saturation with locally manufactured products amounted to 11.9%. It should be noted that a market is considered saturated when this indicator exceeds 80%.

Conclusion: The share of domestic production in the welding fittings market remains insufficiently developed, and the market is not yet fully saturated. At the same time, strong domestic demand indicates significant opportunities for expanding production capacities and implementing new investment projects.
