In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, a working group of the Competition Policy and Consumer Rights Research Center under the Competition Committee is conducting comprehensive assessments in Shirin city and Bayaut district of Syrdarya region.

Key sites and outcomes:

In Shirin city, the operations of the Wang Da joint venture and the Farhad Hydroelectric Power Plant were assessed, and measures to expand production capacity and ensure energy stability were discussed.

In Bayaut district, during a meeting with the head of Oltin Tegirmon LLC, the existing barriers affecting business operations were discussed, and immediate measures to address them were identified.

In Uchturgon mahalla, classified as a “high-challenge” area, targeted measures were identified to promote employment and improve local infrastructure.

All issues identified during the assessments will be incorporated into the regional socio-economic development roadmap.
