It was noted that in the first half of the current year, the region’s economy grew by 8.8 percent, industry by 9.2 percent, services by 16.1 percent, and investment by 8.9 percent.

“For us, it is not the growth figures themselves that matter, but what changes each indicator has brought to the everyday lives of each family,”

the head of state said.

It was emphasized that, despite limited land and natural resources, Andijan Region has such opportunities as an active population, a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a large number of young people, an established industrial base, and a large market.

Over the past ten years, 20 trillion soums have been allocated to the region from the republican state budget, while banks have directed 90 trillion soums to support entrepreneurship. In the current year alone, 6 trillion soums have been allocated to improve the well-being of the population.

It was emphasized that the powers granted to regional hokims and the financial opportunities created must be transformed into tangible results commensurate with these opportunities.
