The Center Assessed the Business Activity Index (BAI) Results for Q3 2026 and Expectations for Q4
In Q3 2026, the Business Activity Index (BAI) increased by 1.1 points compared with Q2, reaching 53.5 points. The index is forecast to remain virtually unchanged in Q4, at 53.2 points.
Representatives of more than 500 large enterprises operating in manufacturing and services participated in the BAI survey through the Competition Committee’s unified information system, “Fair Tech.” According to the survey results, the highest regional readings were recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (57.9) and Namangan Region (57.4).
According to the BAI methodology, the index results indicate sustained economic growth and increasing business activity. However, the BAI results and expectations also point to continued inflationary pressures, despite the country’s stable economic growth.
At the same time, amid sharp fluctuations and persistent uncertainty in the global economy, international organizations reaffirm that Uzbekistan is expected to maintain sustainable economic growth in the coming years, supported by an active investment policy and ongoing reforms.
